Michael Jackson's music will continue to live on in popular culture years after the artist's death, especially the tunes from his iconic and ground breaking album, Thriller. The indie band, Pomplamoose has done an amazing cover of the legendary artist's hit track, “Beat It.” What makes their version so unique is its delivery. This rendition of the song is a part of the emerging VideoSong medium.

Check out the cover and the VideoSong rules below…

In order to perform a VideoSong you have to incorporate two things:

1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).
2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).

Pomplamoose has done plenty of covers in this same format spanning from Beyonce's “Single Ladies” to “September” by Earth Wind and Fire. It really is an amazing performance and shows that these guys have real talent. The band will be making a live appearance in San Francisco on November 13th. They'll be performing at the Brainwash Café along with the bands, Greek National Road, and Danielle Ate the Sandwich.

Check out their rendition of MJ's “Beat It” and tell us what you think of it.

What do you think of their cover?
